thanks to the bluestar (beijing) chemical machinery co’s bwcm project, under sinclair knight merz company’s guidance, it was able to set up an operations and maintenance center to help it develop a skilled, efficient team to manage equipment maintenance. the center will have some very good engineers and personnel in maintenance, planning, and scheduling, along with technicians, with a clearly established division of labor, each position with its own responsibilities.
the operations and maintenance area will receive equipment maintenance orders from various shops, and will pass them onto maintenance and planning personnel, then to the various shops for review and prioritization. the work order reviews will be put together for later maintenance.
the maintenance and scheduling personnel will work with operations and maintenance personnel from different shops on maintenance plans, maintenance schedules, and set up daily schedules in accordance with the level of the maintenance technicians. these personnel receive the maintenance plans, review the goals, then go to the various sites in accordance with the maintenance schedule. when the maintenance work is done, in accordance with bwcm, the person responsible for the work will sign off on the equipment maintenance form and sends it for filing.
the operation and maintenance center has already received 57 work orders, 42 of which have been completed and 31 signed off. by improving maintenance quality, the center will be able to safeguard all processes and see that they run smoothly and efficiently, and guarantee the success of all production.
