the city of changsha’s intellectual property office recognized the changsha institute as an intellectual property model recently, noting how intellectual property rights can increase innovation and social and economic development. it came up with a plan in 2012 to develop 100 model enterprises to help industrialize intellectual property rights developments and to find 100 intellectual property rights leaders by 2015.
the institute joined 19 other local companies in getting the award. under bluestar’s guidance it responded to the property rights plan and intellectual property rights protection by improving management methods and setting annual work goals. it has done patent analyses, and planned patents in major business areas, helping to increase the number and quality of patents. it has by now applied for more than 100 patents, 80 percent of them for inventions.
