the state intellectual property office unveiled a list of the first group of model companies recognized for their work on intellectual property rights at the seventh chinese patent week held on nov 21. bluestar was included on the list.
the list includes 127 companies. a total of 771 companies also saw outstanding intellectual property development recently. in 2004, bluestar was picked as a pilot company by beijing intellectual property. it became a model company in beijing in 2006. in the same year, it was selected as a pilot company by the state intellectual property office. the company was the only one in china that has served as an internship facility for patent examiners for four consecutive years.
bluestar has divided its patent management into four stages to meet the needs of its subsidiaries, some having not begun patent work, some just starting up patent work, some having matured in patent development, and some already making achievements in patent. the bluestar patent management system aims to comprehensively strengthen patent development in the next 15 years.
from 2011 to 2015, bluestar will strengthen management and follow the market to build its scientific research system. it will guide its subsidiaries to make full use of the intellectual property system to become a leading specialty chemical supplier through creating and managing intellectual properties.
