a delegation from the china national bluestar (group) co, led by its vice-gm, gao jianjun, paid a visit to gulang county to look at the poverty situation, on may 22, and look for ways to use local resources for projects to alleviate poverty. they met with local officials, such as wang shengren, chairman of the county people’s political consultative conference, and from the poverty alleviation office and bureau of education. bluestar has partnered with the county in its poverty campaign and wang thanked the company for its continued support and for economic and education development. gao spoke with county officials about desert and sand controls, animal breeding, and industrial development in line with its natural conditions and resources, and suggested ways to cooperate in the future. the delegation visited poverty alleviation projects, such as a sand control project, a business park, and a fine chemicals company. bluestar began the poverty alleviation partnership, in 2003 and, over the past decade, has contributed by providing finances, materiel, and intellectual support.
