as of june 30, the lehigh institute had applied for 26 invention patents, surpassing the number for all of 2013, for a new record. lehigh takes great interest in its patents, which have huge commercial value and carry great weight in competition among enterprises. the institute had an awards ceremony for the inventors of three of them in the second quarter.
