bluestar silicones welcomed a group of 12 teenagers in july 2014 on the saint fons and roussillon sites to give them an insight into the company and the different professions associated with the manufacture of silicone products.
bluestar silicones launched the silicones class project as part of its internal p8-team program, designed to ease in change within the company and strengthen people’s sense of belonging.
this operation was launched by a p8-team workgroup, made up of seven of the company’s employees. each brought their experience to the table to define the program, manage logistics, and organize meetings and events.
bluestar silicones has chosen an action reserved solely to its employee’s children. the objective is to help young people better understand these professions, so that they have an idea of the possibilities open to them in the chemicals industry and maybe help them find their calling. during the three-day activity, these young people will discover more than 20 different professions through trade meetings, research laboratory visits and production workshop tours.
