bluestar silicones, a global integrated silicones leading manufacturer, held a grand celebration for its new r&d center and office relocation in seoul to strengthen its presence in south korea. this is a strategic expansion of bluestar silicones’ global network.
the new site, located in pangyo techno valley, includes an r&d center and administrative office. the r&d center houses state-of-the-art lab facilities and a technical expertise center to support the sales of solutions for the release coating, textile coating and sealing & bonding markets, including innovative products for electronic and energy market management.
“bluestar silicones has established labs and technical centers throughout china, europe and america, and the new r&d center is equipped with advanced testing application meeting global standards and guidelines to enable ongoing innovation. moreover, it is a way to enhance our open innovation culture with our korean partners,” said dr louis vovelle, vice-president of strategy & innovation of bluestar silicones, at the celebration. gerry tan, general manager in the asia-pacific, added that “bluestar silicones has been operating in south korea since 2008; our business has seen rapid growth in the past five years. the establishment of the new r&d center will ensure a quick response to market needs and provide tailor-made solutions to our customers.”
