at the 15th anniversary of the restart-up celebrations of bluestar xinghuo chemical plant and the 2012 xinghuo chemical plant may day labor medal award party held on may 9, jeanluc lin and mohammed khalidi, experts from bsi france and ten employees had participated in the 200,000-t/yr organic silicon integration project of bluestar xinghuo chemical plant were awarded the title, “may day labor medal” by the factory party committee, administration, and trade union.
the “may day labor medal” is the highest honor granted by the company. awarding the title to foreign experts reflects full recognition for their hard work of the more than 20 bsi experts, who work in the blue star xinghuo chemical plant.
jeanluc, a french born chinese, joined the downstream team of the 200,000-t/yr organic silicon integration by bluestar xinghuo chemical plant as a technical engineer of the workshop no.3 and workshop no.4 in may 2009. he cooperated with the design institute, checked more than a thousand pages of design documents and solved more than one hundred design problems during the pre-design process. he worked overtime to overcome technological problems; especially in the dcs design process. he is a technical engineer and a manager in the downstream team. he has never felt tired of explaining technical documents to colleagues to enable young team members to adapt to their work as soon as possible. he made reasonable arrangements for everyone and provided reasonable suggestions for workshop no.3 and workshop no.4 construction.
mohammed is a french chemical process engineer with 15 years of work experience. he came to tianjin in 2007 and participated in construction of the 200,000-t/yr organic silicon project. he joined blue star xinghuo chemical plant with the tianjin team in 2009, responsible for the intermediate process of the upstream third unit and technological upgrades on the intermediate unit of the old device. at the initial stage, he encouraged everyone to improve their english skills. as a technical expert, he answered questions patiently. apart from technical work, he goes to the construction site daily to learn about its progress, check security measures and ensure the project's proceedings.
