methods of measuring lead, arsenic and mercury in phosphate ore and concentrate were issued to the public on nov 12, 2013, and will come into effect on may 1, 2014. the national standard was drawn up by the bluestar lehigh institute.
at the moment, there are a total of 18 standard methods for phosphate ore, and the new standard will bring the number up to 19.
the new standard was commissioned by the state standardization administration. the chemical ore standardization committee was responsible for the draft that started in january 2011. submission for approval was finished in december 2012.
