recently, the ministry of industry and information technology (miit) released the list of 2015 intellectual property demonstration industrial enterprises. bluestar ranked the eighth among 60 enterprises granted the title of intellectual property demonstration enterprises. the honorary title indicates that bluestar’s whole work pertaining to intellectual property over many years has been recognized and praised by miit.
since 2012, miit has implemented “the project for developing the application ability of industrial enterprises in intellectual property” which focuses on developing enterprises’ capabilities in making breakthroughs in core technologies, upgrading the industrial chain, applying innovative achievements, going global and protecting intellectual property and dealing with conflicts. for the first time, miit evaluated intellectual property demonstration enterprises with strict standards, which formed a fierce competition. the evaluation requirements include not only intellectual property management and application related to soft environment, but also hard requirements such as patent application and number of valid patents and well-known trademarks as well as patent transfer license or pledge. bluestar, recommended by china petroleum and chemical industry federation, won the honor by overcoming all difficulties.
bluestar has always given high priority to intellectual property. by 2008, it had developed its own intellectual property strategy and completed its regulation system of intellectual property management covering patent, trademark and business secrets and concerning creation, application, protection and management of intellectual property, providing an institutional guarantee for regulating and protecting its benefits. as of august 31, 2016, bluestar possessed 2690 live patents including 2309 patents for invention; it owned 327 trademarks at home and abroad including two china's well-known trademarks. it has also drafted many technical standards containing one approved iso international standard, 120 authorized national standards and 50 certified industrial standards.
in future, bluestar will double its efforts to focus on a solid foundation for intellectual property, promote the technological innovation and ensure the smooth development of the bluestar's innovation-driven strategy.
