antares (adisseo nanjing treatment of ammonium sulfate by resin) is a project of optimization of the ammonium sulfate unit. it consists in a semi-continuous 3-steps resin treatment to separate sulfur organic molecules (mainly hmtba so at88) from ammonium sulfate (as) solution. hmtba will be sent back to at88 unit to increase global at88 yield and as quality will be improved (crystals size, acidity, smell). this project was led by the r&d team at bluestar adisseo nanjing plant in partnership with sunresin and recently approved for industrialization phase.
antares project was nominated in the final step of the 2016 franco-chinese team innovation prize, r&d category, and finally ranked 3rd over 24 high-level selected projects. on the 8th december 2016, the r&d antares team (julien boutet, valentin guidal, sun honglai) and yang yuanbin (project/downstream process expert) received their distinction in beijing during the 21st franco-chinese economic forum and the innovation awards ceremony.
since 1994, france-china committee organizes with its chinese partners, ccpit and drc (since 2007), this franco-chinese economic forum. it was originally chaired by mr. raymond barre, former french prime minister, then from 2000, by mr. valéry giscard d’estaing, former president of france, and since, 2009, by mr. jean-pierre raffarin, former french prime minister. the light-motive of the franco-chinese team innovation prize is to promote cooperation between chinese and french innovative teams in any field of innovation including digital, services, marketing, high technology, environment, aerospace, industry…
