bluestar (beijing) chemical machinery co ltd and japanese based asahi kasei corporation reached a consensus on a joint venture: bluestar asahi kasei (beijing) energy efficient electrolysis technology co ltd with necessary procedures for a new company.
the joint venture would engage in electrolyzers upgrades and related businesses of auxiliary energy-savings equipment. it is expected to start operating before the end of 2012.
with rapid development of the global chlor-alkali industry, as well as an altered market structure, cooperation between the two sides for future market developments is important. beijing chemical machinery plant, predecessor of bluestar (beijing) chemical machinery co ltd introduced bipolar type ion-exchange membrane electrolyzer manufacturing technology from asahi kasei corporation in june 1984 and it introduced the natural cycle of high current density trough technology from asahi kasei corporation in august 2002. the partnership utilizes its existing market status and resources of both sides, advanced technology of asahi kasei, and manufacturing and service advantages of bluestar (beijing) chemical machinery, and accelerated the upgrading of industrial technology and device capabilities in accordance with the national energy-saving plan.
