the first international conference on the development of new materials (fluorine and silicone) industry, jointly sponsored by china association of fluorine and silicone industry and jiujiang municipal government and undertaken by elkem xinghuo silicones, was held recently in jiujiang, jiangxi province.
the theme of this conference focuses on promoting the transformation and upgrading of china’s fluorine and silicone industry, a process of developing from a large industry to a strong one. zhang lijun, senior vice president of elkem and general manager of elkem xinghuo silicones, was invited to jiujiang to join leaders and related personnel such as xie yiping, deputy party secretary of jiujiang municipal party committee and mayor of jiujiang, lu guixin, deputy inspector of raw materials industry department of ministry of industry and information technology, and mitsuo kira, president of japanese silicone chemical society. they held discusses on the development of china’s fluorine and silicone industry.
