elkem foundry products celebrated the 150,000tonnes of high performance foundry alloys shipped in 2018 to gray- and ductile iron foundries worldwide, at iron foundry sakabe in japan.
japan sales director masayoshi ryu celebrated the arrival of the 150.000th ton of elkem foundry products at sakabe in japan today. the big bag of lamet ® 4920 nodulariser represents a milestone for elkem foundry products.
mr. sakurai, executive managing director of sakabe, commented: “this delivery is a historic moment for elkem foundry products and we’re very honoured to receive the 150.000th tonne. lamet ® 4920 is a specialty product provided by elkem, and it enables us to efficiently produce the nodular-graphite structure needed in sakabe’s ductile-iron castings. more importantly, the additional technical service that elkem provides is for us, just as important as using the right, high quality product. the collaboration with elkem has been excellent over the last 5 years and therefore we are honoured to celebrate this milestone with them. “
