an online classroom. in the “xinghuo online school”, the company launched energy-saving and carbon-reduction topics, held energy management knowledge contest, and further enhanced the sense of responsibility and urgency of energy saving, emission reduction and carbon reduction among employees in an effort to give a strong boost to the construction of green factories.

in recent years, elkem xinghuo silicones has put in place energy saving and emission reduction as a way to optimize the industrial structure, promote green low-carbon development and make big strides in ecological conservation, with positive results achieved. more than 9.6-million-yuan investment was made in the introduction of advanced process and equipment for water-saving renovation. as such, the water reuse rate is at the domestic advanced level, with annual water savings amounting to 3.209 million tons, equivalent to 9.76 million yuan. energy-saving equipment was selected to save 9.91 million yuan annually in electricity costs. the lighting energy-saving renovation project saved about 670,000 yuan of annual electricity costs. elkem xinghuo silicones has overcome the industry problems such as slurry slag treatment, and concentration and reuse of dilute acid. it has realized the efficient waste raw material recycling, comprehensive utilization of by-products, and waste treatment and reuse technologies in each production line. with multiple green innovative technologies winning national patents, it has achieved significant social and environmental benefits.
