recently, china petroleum and chemical industry federation has released the decision on recognizing advanced units, excellent service units and outstanding individuals in energy conservation in the petroleum and chemical industry during the 13th five-year plan. elkem xinghuo silicones, shenyang chemical and bluestar dongda were granted the title of advanced units. elkem xinghuo silicones worker li jinming and xinghuo aerospace employees qiu ling and zhang hongjiang won the title of advanced individual. the above awards are the highest honors in energy saving and carbon reduction in china’s petrochemical industry.
elkem xinghuo silicones won the honorary titles of the “green factory” in china and the “green supply chain management enterprise” in jiangxi province in 2019. the comprehensive energy consumption of silicone ring products reached national advanced standards in 2020. in recent years, shenyang chemical has carried out multiple technological upgrading projects. the comprehensive energy consumption of paste resin and alkali per unit product has been declining, which is better than the national advanced standard. for many years in a row, bluestar dongda has won advanced enterprise titles at province, city or district level, thanks to energy saving and consumption reduction. during the 13th five-year plan period, it had converted old driving forces into new ones and phased out high energy-consuming products, with the total energy consumption and intensity dropping by 80% over the initial stage of the period.
li jinming organized the implementation of the comprehensive oxygen-rich air utilization project, saving 1.68 million cubic meters of natural gas annually. li had also organized the development of the enterprise iso50001 energy management system that passed the certification. qiu ling and zhang hongjiang held onto their posts on the first-line of new materials in china’s aerospace industry, reducing 50% of energy consumption per unit product during the 13th five-year plan period.
in the first year of the 14th five-year plan, the overall energy consumption of bluestar from january to september fell by 25 per cent year on year, yielding good economic and social benefits. bluestar will continue to strengthen energy management, uphold the philosophy of “in science we trust”, vigorously promote energy-saving transformation and technological innovation, and boost the high-quality and green development of enterprises.
