in a joint evaluation recently organized by five ministries/commissions including the national development and reform commission and the ministry of science and technology, elkem xinghuo silicones stood out from more than 1,700 chinese enterprises and was re-certified as national enterprise technology center (nect). this is the sixth time that the company has passed the evaluation as a nect since november 2010.
founded in 2000, the elkem xinghuo silicones technology center integrates product development, engineering design, technological innovation and technology management, combining production, education and research. now, it has scientific research institutions such as silicone technology and innovation park and post-doctoral research station, serving as a national enterprise technology center. the company continuously strengthens in-depth cooperation with universities and research institutes and introduces talents in a targeted manner. at present, it boasts 383 scientific and technological talents, of whom 10 have phd degrees and 45 have master degrees.
over the past 12 years since it was first certified as a netc, elkem xinghuo silicones has always adhered to its innovation-driven development strategy, strengthened its innovation system and technical team building, continuously improved its independent innovation capability and promoted the industrialization of scientific and technological research achievements. it has accumulated rich experience in r&d, design, production and downstream application of new products, completed a series of major strategic projects, and developed a large number of high-tech products featuring environmental friendliness, energy efficiency, advanced technology, high added value and good application prospects. up to now, the company has developed more than 300 high-tech products and filed more than 270 patent applications at home and abroad, including two pct applications; 143 patents have been granted, including 75 invention patents. the company has won china patent award twice and chemchina patent award, sinochem patent award and cafsi patent award for many times.
