a big bluestar family
on july 20, a train from gansu arrived at nanchang railway station. five students who were from gulang, gansu province and financially supported by bluestar looked out of the window with curiosity. it was their first long trip by train. they came to attend the 21st bluestar summer camp in jiangxi. the children of the employees working in the organosilicon departments in haikou, qiqihar, daqing and tanggu and 70 campers of jiangxi sub-camp together began a harmonious journey.
under the scorching sun, the little campers from jiangxi waited at the entrance of the camp and held a warm welcome ceremony to greet the campers coming from afar. “i have never seen such nice camp clothes and cap, as well as this bluestar schoolbag,” hu jin from gulang no. 6 secondary school said as his face beamed with happiness.
all campers were helpful and friendly. they received military training and patriotic education and took part in rich and colorful thematic activities. nine-year-old zhang dianyi from haikou wrote in his notebook: “i love jiangxi. i love bluestar.” the children all expressed they will work hard and strive for excellence.
