at the sound of the whistle, everyone got dressed and became excited. today we would climb the great wall.
after breakfast, we took a bus to the foot of the great wall. we all wanted to climb to the top in one breath. we were stuck in a room for the past few days, and we wanted to let loose. i went all out climbing at the beginning but soon got exhausted. but i gritted my teeth and finally made it to the top after half an hour. i was so excited standing on the top. i’ve dreamt of climbing the great wall for a long time. the great wall contains the blood, sweat and tears of ancient people and is one of the great wonders of the world. feeling close to the sky and looking down the magnificent landscape below, i could hardly contain my excitement.
in the afternoon, we took the bus back to the camping site, and everyone pigged out. the six of us cleaned out 17 bowls and 11 big plates.
then we paid a visit to the china national film museum. it was a tall, geometrically-shaped building filled with various colorful film items. it can truly count as one of the wonders of beijing.
at dusk, we dragged our tired bodies to the camp site. we were all very happy. everyone enjoyed a feast again. back at the dorm, i had so much to say to my friends. i decided to put everything down in travelogue to record the memory.
today's journey had amazing ups and downs. it also gave me knowledge and insight. i love beijing, i love everything in beijing. everything.
